Support Berks Sinfonietta on #GivingTuesday

Tax deductible

Giving Tuesday is all about generosity and supporting the causes you care deeply about, like great music! This year, we would like to share our hopes and vision for the future of classical music in Berks County. And it all starts with a question:

What happens when you invest in local music and the musicians in our own community?

  • Well-paying opportunities means professional musicians refine their talents locally and then stay local.
  • Students collaborate and learn within a professional ensemble, preparing them for college or a professional career.
  • You build a multi-generational orchestra of talented, engaged musicians.
  • You enable that orchestra to perform a full schedule of well-run concerts for live and digital audiences.
  • Those players contribute their talents to other local groups they perform with–and which you also enjoy.

The result is a whole community lifted by this cycle of growth, with more high-quality music created by local musicians–for local audiences. Because people like you make it happen.

Berks Sinfonietta relies exclusively on players who call Berks County their home or place of work. Our vision is to pay these musicians a rate competitive with larger markets such as Lancaster, York, and Harrisburg. As an organization, we keep pace with cost-of-living increases, having made commensurate pay raises each of the last six years. And ultimately, we believe the investment in these musicians means even more concerts and exciting music for you to enjoy and appreciate.

Berks Sinfonietta performs 6 live concerts each year in different venues across Berks County. You can find our full 2023-2024 season (our 10th) at https://www.berkssinfonietta.org/concerts

Join our mailing list and follow us on social media to receive concert reminders and updates, including our 2024-2025 season, which will be announced in late 2023.

We believe that communities are transformed when you invest in people who educate, entertain, and inspire. On November 28th, 2023, we’re going to ask you to help lead that transformation with a contribution to Berks Sinfonietta. Please consider a donation in any amount.
