Support Berkshire Village Association's Water System Upgrade
Donation protected
The Berkshire Village Association is a community of Concord residents who use non-potable canal water for their landscaping, vegetable gardens and fruit trees. We are celebrating 75 years of continuous operation on May 17, 2024. By using canal water, we save 4,500,000 gallons of processed water annually, restore our local ground water table and benefit from a garden to table healthy lifestyle as well. We are raising funds to update our aging infrastructure. Pipes and our pump need to be replaced. Donations (large or small) are appreciated.
The Berkshire Village Association, is a California non-profit organization which purchases non-treated water from Contra Costa Water District and distributes it by pumps and a largely underground pipe system to participating homes. Getting to know neighbors and sharing gardening tips is also a benefit of the association. Our members volunteer over a hundred hours each year to share in the maintenance and upkeep of the water systems. However, after 75 years of use, it is aging and in urgent need of professional repair. Your donation will help this community secure its operation for years to come, saving precious water for the future.
Thank you.
