Support Bernie’s Fight for Life

Hello everyone,

I’m reaching out today with a heavy heart to share that my sister's beloved dog, Bernie, has been diagnosed with an aggressive thyroid carcinoma (cancer). Bernie is not just a pet—he's a lifeline for my sister, who has faced an incredibly challenging year. As she has navigated both emotional and financial hardships, Bernie has been her constant companion, offering unconditional love, comfort, joy, and humor during the darkest times.

Bernie is the absolute sweetest dog you’ll ever meet. He has a gentle soul, always wagging his tail (usually for food ), offering a comforting nudge when needed most, and spreading positivity wherever he goes. He's been there for my sister through every high and low over the last year, bringing her peace when nothing else could. Now, it's our turn to be there for him.

Between diagnostic tests, surgical removal of the large mass on his throat, and multiple visits to both his regular vet and a veterinary oncologist, the cost of Bernie’s care has already reached over $5,600. With the addition of a recommend course of chemotherapy (six treatments), the total cost of Bernie’s care will exceed $11,000.

Unfortunately, my sister doesn’t have the financial means to cover this expense on her own. The good news is that the chemotherapy will give Bernie a strong chance at recovery, and we're determined to do everything in our power to help him heal and continue to be by my sister’s side.

Bernie is more than just a pet—he's a true family member, and we are asking for your help to ensure he can receive the treatments he needs. Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly towards Bernie's treatment and his journey to recovery.

Together, we can give him the chance he deserves to live a long, healthy life, and in turn, keep bringing joy and love to my sister and everyone he encounters during this incredibly tough time.
