Support Beth on her Cancer Journey

Donation protected
UPDATE 4FEB25 Thank you so much to everyone who has donated and taken us to over 50% of the target Annie set. We are truly humbled by your generosity.
I also want to give a shout out to my sister Emma who has recently donated her Stem Cells to a complete stranger to save their life thanks to the charity Anthony Nolan.
Despite what's going on in our own lives, there is always the opportunity to show others love and kindness. This is what Emma has done and I am so proud of her. And it's what you have all done too. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Beth xxx

UPDATE 1FEB25 Beth and Robert are completely overwhelmed that we have now reached almost £5000. They pass their love and thanks on to everyone who is donating and sharing this appeal. Their load has already lightened - thank you thank you thank you on behalf of our beautiful Beth xxx

UPDATE 30JAN25 We reached the first goal of £1000 in just 12 hours! Massive thanks to all who have supported. I want to ensure Beth has peace of mind during her chemo treatment over the next 6months so I'm getting ambitious with the new target! Please keep donating and sharing xx

Beth is the daughter of one of my best friends. I've known her since she was a wee girl, always bringing joy into everyone's life. She always dreamed of being a mum to a really big family and was great at making whoever knew her feel loved and joyful.
Beth and her partner Robert began their family back in 2022 when Daisy arrived. Beth was the very best mum and took to it like a duck to water.
Keen to keep going she was expecting again in 2023, but sadly, like one in four pregnancies, it ended in miscarriage. The family were heartbroken.
Then at the start of 2024 great news came that Daisy was getting a wee brother or sister. Beth and Robert were delighted.
But in March 2024 Beth went for her 16 week scan and their world fell apart.
Beth was having what's known as a Molar Pregnancy.
This is when the cells multiply into a cancerous growth. So it turned out there was one baby and one cancerous growth, both of which had to be taken away to start chemo and save Beth's life. Only 300 women in the UK will have a Molar Pregnancy each year. She was devastated. Everyone who knew her was.
At first there was a lot of confidence that Beth could heal quickly from this and that she could hopefully go on to have more children.
But things didn't go to plan.
Complications and cancer growth to her lungs and brain meant she had to have more treatment than expected. In December, just as we thought she'd reached the end of her treatment, came the results that cancer was still present and not only did Beth need to begin a more aggressive form of treatment with six months of chemo, she also needed a full hysterectomy at the age of 29. Dreams of a big family vanished.
So as we enter 2025 Beth has quite the year ahead - 6 months of aggressive chemo; a three month wait to recover and ready her body for the surgery of a full hysterectomy; and then another three months recovery. So many hard days lie ahead.
While she had been on sick leave from her work, she has now resigned. She's applied to DWP for benefits but that's not as smooth a journey as we'd hoped and she's still getting no financial support.
Beth, Robert and Daisy have a mortgage and bills to pay, shopping to buy, a life that needs to be financed. And I'm hoping that we can all help them do this. I really don't want money to be added to their already overwhelming list of worries.
No matter how much you can donate it will be helping a wee family during the darkest storm of their life, and I can't imagine a better way to support anyone.

Beth has been talking about her journey on TikTok so you can keep up to date with it here, Beth's TicTok
