Support Bethany through Chemo
Donation protected
I can’t believe that I am even organizing this fundraiser. Anyone who knows my sister Bethany knows how full of life she is; she loves walking in nature, hiking, playing with the children in her life, cooking good food for her friends, laughing, reading, and writing.
This diagnosis has come as a total shock to her and all of her friends and family. Bethany only recently started a new job, which she will now need to take extended leave from as she begins her fight against a rare and aggressive type of Leukemia. She is looking at 8 months of Chemotherapy, and is going to need help with medical and living expenses during that time.
From Bethany:
“So remember two weeks ago when I said I walked just two miles and felt like I had run a half marathon? And I thought it was just a cold that was lingering on?
Turns out I have a rare type of Leukemia (T-ALL). It made so much sense why I couldn't breathe when the doctors told me there was fluid around my heart and lungs and a 13x10 cm mass in the middle of my chest.
I've been in the hospital since Monday, and begin chemo today.
This is the type of thing you never think will happen to you. But I know that God is good and He would not have allowed this unless He had a plan to bring good out of it. I have tremendous peace through it all--even looking ahead to the bleak 8 months of rigorous chemo and probable hair loss in front of me.
God is right here with me in it all.
And so much love and support has been poured out on me from friends and family.”
If you are able, please consider showing Bethany your support by helping relieve some of the financial stress of her fight with this awful disease. Let’s show Bethany how much we love and care for her right now, and that she is not alone in this!
