Support Betty Bell White's Life Changing Surgery.

I would like to Introduce Miss Betty Bell White. She is a 2.5 year old "Honorary" Carolina Dog. Betty Bell is an energetic, extremely intelligent, and very mischievous doggo. She lives to steal her mom's slippers and prance around proudly, showing off her prize. She is a sock thief extraordinaire. All the socks belong to her, even the ones on your feet. She is the leader of our pack. She is a best friend and battle buddy to her older brother Ozwald. A mentor to our new chihuahua puppies, Parker and Princess Paisley. We rescue and foster lots of mama cats and kittens. Bell loves to Introduce herself to all of them. She wants to be the first dog they meet, so they have a good first impression of dogs. She has so much character. Very vocal and opinionated.....and such a drama queen.

Unfortunately last year she injured her left knee. Originally we thought her therapy and care had fixed the problem. Her limp was gone, and she was as active as ever. It wasn't. She was just good at masking her pain. She had been using her right leg to compensate for her weak knee. It wasn't until her right knee suddenly ruptured from taking all the strain, did we realize how bad her left still was. She was no longer able to hide her injuries and pain. Bell was not able to be herself anymore. She could no longer play with Ozwald. Her teaching the puppies bad habits ceased. We no longer got to see that proud smile when she "acquired" your socks. Her mom's slippers could now always be found where she left them, and not in the backyard. Betty Bell is young and vibrant. Loved by so many who follow her online. She will always be crippled and never get to enjoy being a thriving dog again, unless she gets her second surgery.

Betty Bell's injuries require a complex, complete reconstruction of the bones in her legs. Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy, TPLO surgery. The surgery reconstructs the leg so it no longer relies on the ligaments to support the knee. It is life changing for a young energetic dog like Bell. She will be nearly 100% of what she was. TPLO is expensive. Even with my wife getting laid off earlier this year, and being out of work for a few months, we managed to secure the money to have both legs repaired. In May we had her right leg done. Recovery takes months of very limited activity and dedication by her and us. She healed very well and will soon be ready to have her left leg fixed. Unfortunately the 4th of July weekend brought us life threatening medical issues for two of our other dogs. Ozwald and Princess Paisley. Both spent days in the ER. Doing what needed to be done to save their lives was never in question. All the funds, and $1000's more, that we had for Bell is gone. We are now unable in any way to afford fixing Betty Bell's left leg. We can no longer give her the life she deserves. We hope that all who know and love her on social media and those just meeting her for the first time now, can find it in their hearts to support giving Miss Betty Bell White her mischievous life back. Please help me fix my pretty girl.
