Support Bev through lung cancer treatment and pneumonectomy

Hi, I'm Madeleine, Bev's sister. Many of you know Bev; as a caregiver she has touched many lives with her love and care. She was a RCA at Heritage Place for seven years and previous to that she was a PSW in Ontario for over thirty years.
After a work injury last year, Bev spent six weeks at the Pain Clinic in Victoria and was unable to return to her work as a caregiver. Bev then began dog/house sitting and had a lot of jobs lined up. After having a lingering cough she asked to be sent for an x-ray and that's when everything changed.
In the middle of July she was diagnosed with lung cancer. It's a rare form of non small cell lung cancer that is most common in women who aren't smokers. There are three tumours, the largest one being at the top of her right lung and a few lymph nodes on the right side have also been affected.
With all the numerous tests and scans, Dr. appointments, chemo and immunotherapy, she has had to cancel all of her upcoming jobs which makes it very difficult financially. This news came after returning from Calgary where we attended the memorial for her son, who died in a car accident this year. This has been a very difficult time for Bev.
After receiving another round of chemo and immunotherapy, Bev will have surgery to remove the lung. There will be a long recovery time and it will be quite awhile before she can resume her dog sitting jobs. In addition to helping financially, the funds will be used for therapies, supplements and required medications.
Thank you for helping us lift Bev up when she needs it the most.
