On Monday, May 4, 2020, the Ector County Sheriffs Office deployed their SWAT, complete with armored vehicles and automatic rifle mounted to the roof, to harrass, assault, and arrest law abiding citizens peacefully exercising their right to keep and bear arms while supporting a small business owner's right to open her store and take care of her family and employees. The owner of Big Daddy Zane's was arrested for "violating the governor's emergency order" by opening her bar before she lost everything.
Four patriots who were legally carrying firearms were arrested on bogus "unlawful carry of a weapon" charges because the Sheriff is too stupid to know what the law is.
A customer was also arrested for daring to ask the deputies as they were arrested the business owner, "why are you arresting her?" They responded to this customer with, "put you're hands behind your back. You're under arrest." He was charged with "interference with the duties of a peace officer."
This fundraiser is for the business owner, Gabrielle Ellison, to pay for her legal fees. The corrupt Sheriff isn't done. He is threatening everyone involved with even more charges.
This is a travesty of American justice and our constitutional principles. We are working closely with Gabrielle on this fundraiser so she is personally aware of it and will get 100% of the money collected. If an attorney takes the case on a pro bono basis, the money collected will go towards those legal expenses and anything left over will be equally divided among her laid off employees since the Sheriff's office won't let her open up or risk being arrested again.
