Support Bill’s Cancer Battle

Hello everyone, this is Emily Hollman- my sister Beth and I are organizing this Go Fund Me Page for our brother Bill and his wife Julie. Bill was recently diagnosed with Hepatocellular Carcinoma or Metastasized Liver Cancer. 2024 has been a tough year, as Bill was downsized from his job due to corporate restructuring. Medical insurance is being paid for each month out of their pocket at $2500. After receiving the news and reviewing their options for treatment, the decision was made in May to go to City of Hope in Zion, Illinois. This is part of Cancer Centers of America. From the first visit until mid-August, he has received 15 rounds of radiation, 3 months of immunotherapy infusion treatments to the liver, left hip, right femur, left rib and Adrenal Gland and underwent several MRIs, Pet and CT scans as you can imagine. This past week, it was determined that the infusion treatment is NOT working. After moving their youngest to college, Bill went back to City of Hope to discuss next steps – he will undergo surgery to place a rod in his right leg to prevent breaking around the femur head/joint, direct liver treatment via a catheter is being reviewed and he will begin an oral Chemo pill that will cost $25K per month. The doctors are optimistic for Bill. However, we know the stress of paying for everyday life can be overwhelming and want to help Bill and Julie in every way possible. First and foremost, with prayer and good vibes for health and healing and then a little financial support to help them see this through. Any support you are willing to give will be used to offset the cost of medication and travel expenses they had not expected. We are faithful people, we know the Lord has a plan and will carry out what is best in his time. During this time of sickness, we need the support of our friends, family, acquaintances, and others to help ease the stress and make life just a little easier during this really scary time. We thank you in advance and pray that the Lord watches over each and every one of you. We also know that when some of you read this, you will be inclined to reach out via phone, email or text – which we appreciate greatly – please know Bill and Julie’s days are filled with travel, treatment and in reality they are tired – so please send the messages, but do expect a little delay, as the path they are on is vigorous and they may be busy with getting healthy.
