Support Biltmore Village Inn Staff After Hurricane Helene
Donation protected
We would like to strongly emphasize that with the scale of Hurricane Helene’s damage, please donate to life-saving community efforts first and foremost. However, if you have any additional funds to spare our team will be immensely grateful for your support.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone that has reached out to us and checked on our well being. We are so incredibly grateful that our dedicated staff are all safe and unharmed! The Inn, cottages, and property as a whole endured very minimal damage despite several trees needing to be removed and a leak above our housekeeping room. So many in Asheville and the surrounding communities have lost everything and our hearts break for all of them.
Hurricane Helene changed all of our lives overnight. Our Bed and Breakfast will be closed for the foreseeable future until water is restored and cleanup is complete. This could take several weeks. Our dedicated staff will be displaced, temporarily out of work, or both. Unfortunately, unemployment does not pay a living wage and our small business does not have enough cash flow to float everyone until we are able to reopen and return to work. So, we are asking for support for our staff. For Chef Ted, Hospitality Manager Mathilda, Innkeeper Kelly, Housekeeper Ana, and General Manager Monica. These are the faces you see that welcome you to our home in Historic Biltmore Village. Somehow the most perfect five individuals found each other and together help to create an experience we hope guests take with them forever. We’d love to be able to continue doing what we love for years to come.
If you are able, please consider donating. Funds will be distributed directly to the staff so that they can make ends meet. It’s not easy to ask for help, but a disaster of this magnitude forces us to ask for things we wouldn’t otherwise.
How will your donation help?
Your support will help us cover living expenses. With the Inn closed, we’re worried about paying our bills and putting food on the table.
The Asheville Community is known for being creative and resilient and we’re all showing up as much as possible right now to sustain the vitality of our incredible destination!
