Support Bird’s Healing from Prostate Cancer

Friends & family, we need your help!

Many of you know Bird was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer in 2022. He did conventional treatment for two years before his body seemed to reject those medications - he got a full body “itch” that lasted a couple months. That led to a month or so of chronic fatigue. And now he’s dealing with constant pelvic pain/burning. At the moment, he has to use catheters to pee because the tumor is blocking the flow for urine and bowels.

We’ve also taken a deep dive into scriptural healing over the last few months. Now, we truly believe it IS God’s will for ALL to be healed and are actively working on building up Bird’s faith to receive it (Jesus’ FINISHED WORK). Meanwhile, he’s in a lot of physical pain so we’d like to get some solid support for his body :)

Our original reason for starting a GoFundMe was to get him to a cancer treatment center in Tijuana called Oasis of Hope. Going there would cost around $34,000 and while we don’t think that’s impossible, we know it is a very tall order. So! We spent a week at a treatment center in Juarez called The Good Samaritan Medical Center. They utilize many of the same therapies (regenerative and cellular, oxygen-based, magnetic and electrical field), but are way more affordable. It wasn’t quite what we expected it to be. When we got back, Bird was BEAT. We even established a relationship with Circle of Life (hospice care) and had his family come visit “just in case”.

This journey has been a roller coaster. Sometimes we are filled with hope and other times we feel like we are drowning. Driving in a car, let alone going to work three days a week, became unbearable. So we paused work starting a couple weeks ago - he isn’t mentally or physically in the place for work and I’m doing my best to be his caregiver and support him. So, that’s the other part of this GoFundMe… Keeping us afloat while we focus on Bird’s healing. Fingers crossed we don’t have to sell our home/property that we intend to turn into a healing retreat center in the future!!
