Support BLM activist Sarra Tekola

Sarra has been fighting for racial justice nearly her whole life. Not only is she a scholar and Ph.D. candidate, but also selfless activist. She has dedicated her life to helping those around her whose voice cannot be heard, through Black Lives Matter, Women of Color Speak Out and ASU's Multicultural Solidarity Coalition. Her activism has supported different minority groups such as BIPOC and LGBTQ, she has carried this commitment both at ASU and within the community at large. In this pursuit of justice, however, she was recently targeted and unjustly arrested by the PHX PD. She has been released but needs financial support from her ASU community to ensure a strong team of lawyers, funds to replace her phone, and to support her emotional and mental wellbeing. We want to support Sarra with a pool of resources to support her work on the frontlines. Sarra is relentless and courageous and will continue to fight the fight, but needs our support to keep doing so.
