Support Blue's Recovery with Kindness and Care

Earlier today, September 30, 2024, our chatty and rambunctious pack member, Blue, chased a squirrel, and escaped his yard. What should've been a quick adventure, turned absolutely devastating when a person driving north on Grove St from Clarks Summit to Waverly was texting and driving and hit Blue, and drove away from the scene. Multiple cars were honking to get this person's attention, while they watched Blue cross into traffic, and this person was too buried in their phone to notice the dog they were about to hit.
This person did not slow down, or even bother to look up from their phone. Not only is texting and driving illegal, but now Blue is in critical condition at the Plains emergency vet due to their carelessness. They did not even stop to help, see if he was okay, or try to contact the owners. Thankfully the many witnesses and kind members of the Clarks Summit community were able to help and make the phone call to get Blue the help he needed as quickly as possible.
As we helplessly wait to hear Blue's status, the only way we could think to help is by raising money to give to Blue's mom and dad to help with the inevitable vet bills coming their way.
This is devastating, and any little bit will help make this already stressful time just a little bit easier.
