Support Boba's Fight Against FIP

This is our sweet boy, Boba. We're asking for help to save our beloved cat. While we don't have favorites among our children, he is our favorite cat. His disposition is so sweet and loving, rolling over and asking for belly rubs after shots.

Boba has been diagnosed with Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP), a rare and devastating disease that was until recently untreatable. We're so grateful to be able to treat this rare illness. Unfortunately, it is very costly.

What is FIP?

FIP is caused by a mutation of the feline coronavirus, which attacks a cat’s immune system. It can progress rapidly, causing severe inflammation in the abdomen, chest, or nervous system. Without treatment, FIP is almost always fatal.

Boba’s Journey

Boba began showing signs of lethargy, loss of appetite, and a swollen belly. We also noticed a lump on his abdomen. All of these symptoms led to his diagnosis of FIP. Thankfully, there is a promising treatment that has given many cats a second chance. However, it involves daily injections that are painful for him and emotionally hard for us to administer. The treatment is costly, requiring 84 days of consistent medication and monitoring.

Why We Need Your Help

The cost of Boba’s treatment is overwhelming, with medication alone totaling around $2,500 for the full course, not including vet visits, tests, and supportive care. Every contribution will go directly toward giving Boba the life he deserves. We'll need to buy needles and syringes ($15.00 for 30), feline probiotics ($30.99 for 30 days), high calorie cat food ($1.00 per can), anti-diarrhea medicine ($30.00 for 30 doses) and appetite stimulants ($50.00 for a bottle). Since the injection feels acidic, he'll need medicine to help him stay calm ($62.00 for 30 days) and pain relief.
