Help Bobbi and Vinny focus on Dominic’s treatment

     We all need lessons from 10 year old Dominic on how to be strong and brave in the face of incredible obstacles. This 10 year old boy had a huge, life changing moment on November 13th. You wouldn’t know it looking at his healthy, smiling face, but he is battling cancer.

     Bobbi Oakley and Vinny Tomasula visited Robert Wood Johnson after many tests and scans sent them to Dr. Joseph Barone for answers. As the top urologist in the country took one look at the mass growing in their boy, he sent them to be admitted to the hospital right away, with surgery for removal scheduled shortly after.

By November 18th, they learned their boy had cancer.

     Embryonal Rhabdomyosarcoma. RMS. A rare, aggressive soft tissue cancer usually found in children 2-10. Their boy has cancer. He’s 10.

     There’s been scan, tests, procedures, biopsies and appointments non-stop since the diagnosis. There’s questionable spots and definite spots in his little body. He got a port placed and is due to begin chemo and possibly radiation soon. Too much for a 10 year old kid to be going through. Too much for anyone to be going through.

      Needless to say, the family needs our help. All the things that add up, are adding up during a time when Bobbi and Vinny need to take time off from work to care for their boy. Trips an hour away to the hospital, eating on credit cards, making sure the rest of the family is fed and cared for when they’re gone for days on end for procedures and tests. Soon enough the hospital bills will start coming in.

     This is going to be a long road for Dominic and his family. Please consider donating to help ease the burdens and lighten their load. Their expenses and bills should be the last thing they need to worry about and focus on right now.
