Support Bob's battle against colon cancer!

My brother, Bob was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in December 2023. His colon has 2 inches of cancer, his liver is covered with tumors and his lungs have several spots. He isn’t a good candidate for surgery at this point as the tumors on the liver are too large.

Bob started chemotherapy treatments in January and until recently, it seemed like it was helping. His most recent scans showed some growth with the tumors on his liver and more spots on his lungs. This change led the doctor to the conclusion that the chemo Bob was taking had stopped being effective. So, recently he changed to a second line of chemo (stronger doses) which has already caused Bob more pain and discomfort. He’s not sure if the chemo is helping at all.

Bob and his family could definitely use support during this time. The year and a half before his cancer diagnosis, his daughters and wife were diagnosed with alpha-gal and his youngest daughter was also diagnosed with Lyme disease. They were able to be treated using alternative medicine and had wonderful outcomes, but it came at a significant price tag. They were just starting to begin to try to get caught up from the bills when Bob received his diagnosis.

He is looking into alternative treatment as chemo isn’t a cure and can only (hopefully) prolong life with cancer. These treatments can be expensive. He has already been taking vitamin C treatment and supplements along with his chemo to help his immune system.

Bob has still been able to work about ¾ of the time and he works from home most of the time. His boss has been good about working with him and his coworkers donated leave to help.

A note from Bob’s wife, Becca: We have seen God's faithfulness in the past in our lives, we know He is still and will continue to be faithful! We know that God heals, He is the great Physician. We know this didn't catch God by surprise. We know God has a plan and it's still a good one. Some days are very difficult, though and discouraging, as you can imagine. So please pray!

Pray for healing!

Pray for relief from the pain especially at night so that he can sleep!

Pray that we can trust God fully and not live in crippling fear.

Pray for wisdom with treatments.
