Support Bogale's Family in Their Time of Grief

Bogale Kenea Wayessa moved to the US with his wife and three children in search of a better life and future for his family. Just as they were beginning to settle into their new life, tragedy struck. In the early hours of a morning in March 2022, while driving to work in Tampa, Florida, Bogale was hit by an uninsured motorist. He sustained severe brain and body injuries, with doctors giving him almost no chance of recovery due to the severity of the brain trauma.

Despite these grim odds, his wife and children never gave up on him. For over two and a half years, they provided exhaustive rehab care and unwavering support for their beloved husband and father. This took a heavy toll on them emotionally, financially, and physically.

Sadly, Bogale passed away on November 4, 2024. The family is now preparing to take Bogale’s body back to Ethiopia, so that his extended family, who have been praying and hoping for his recovery all this time, can attend his funeral and gain closure.
