Support Bone Cruncher’s Fight: A Tuxedo’s Tale of Resilience

Hi friends,
I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for my beloved cat, Bone Cruncher. On April 23rd, my sweet boy was diagnosed with high-grade small cell lymphoma. He’s only 4 years old and still has so much love and life left to give.
Bone Cruncher—affectionately known as Crunch, Crunchwrap Supreme, Crunchy Pie, and Crunch-butt—is a big, lanky tuxedo cat with the quirkiest personality and the gentlest soul. He’s not just a pet—he’s family. He greets every new person (and dog!) like an old friend, rubbing up against them with instant trust and affection. He chirps when he knows you’re talking to him, and his soft little meows will melt your heart.
He’s always been the kind of cat who makes people say, “Okay… I don’t usually like cats, but this one is different.” And he is. He’s special.
To combat this aggressive cancer, Bone Cruncher has begun the CHOP chemotherapy protocol, a rigorous 25-week treatment involving four potent drugs: Cyclophosphamide, Doxorubicin, Vincristine, and Prednisone. Each week, he undergoes a cycle where these medications work in tandem to target and destroy the lymphoma cells. While this regimen offers hope, it’s also taxing on his body, leading to side effects like fatigue, nausea, and potential immune suppression.
Despite these challenges, Bone Cruncher remains resilient, facing each treatment with the same gentle spirit and affectionate nature that endears him to everyone he meets.
This isn’t his first battle. Two years ago, to the month, Bone Cruncher faced full kidney failure. It was a terrifying time, but he fought with everything he had—and he won. That experience showed me just how strong and determined he is. I believe in him with all my heart, and I’m prepared to fight alongside him for as long as he wants to keep going.
I may not have all the time I hoped for with him, but I’m committed to making every single day count. Whether it’s a quiet cuddle, a playful chirp, or just sitting together in the sun, every moment is a gift.
The financial burden of this life-saving treatment is substantial. Every dollar raised will go directly toward Bone Cruncher’s medical expenses, ensuring he receives the best possible care throughout this journey.
If you can’t donate, sharing his story would mean the world to us. Thank you for taking the time to read about my sweet Bone Cruncher.
With love and gratitude,
Taylor and Crunch
