Support Bonnie's Recovery

We are reaching out to you on behalf of our beloved sister, aunt, cousin, and friend Bonnie O'Connor, an incredible woman whose life has taken an unexpected turn since February 2023. Bonnie has always been the epitome of strength and independence, never succumbing to any serious health concerns throughout her vibrant life. However, a routine visit to her new cardiologist in October of 2022 changed everything.

Bonnie, trusting her healthcare provider, was prescribed a higher dosage of statin medication to manage her cholesterol levels. Little did she know that this prescription would lead to a cascade of health issues that have left her struggling to reclaim the life she once knew. Just three months into the medication, Bonnie began experiencing severe muscle breakdown, leaving her unable to stand and robbing her of the independence she held so dear.

As a family, we have been by Bonnie's side every step of the way, advocating for her health and seeking the best medical care possible. Unfortunately, the financial burden of extensive medical bills, specialized treatments, and necessary in-home care has become overwhelming. This is where we are turning to you, our extended community, for support.

Our goal is to raise $50,000 to alleviate the financial strain on Bonnie and enable her to access the care and resources she needs to regain her strength and independence for the next 6 months. The funds will be used for medical expenses, in home care, and any unforeseen costs associated with her recovery journey. For visibility purposes, Bonnie's homecare on top of standard living expenses exceeds $8,000/month.
