Help Baby Boris: Build His New Home
Tax deductible
Please Help Baby Boris
Monkeys are not pets, and they should never be taken away from their mothers.
Four months ago, I received a call from a state agency about a critically endangered black-handed spider monkey whose mother was tragically shot and killed in southern Mexico. The infant, whom we named Boris, was smuggled across the U.S. border through Texas and sold in the illegal pet trade for $12,000, all for social media posts and clicks. This is an ongoing issue—just look at Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram, and you'll see countless baby monkeys who have either been forcefully taken from their mothers or their mothers were shot and killed.
The Primate Sanctuary and Baby Boris need your help. We are working to build new enclosures for Boris' rehabilitation and to safely introduce him to our three adult spider monkeys, Jelly, Maggie, and Abigail. The cost of these enclosures is $50,000, and I'm asking you to please consider making a tax-deductible donation to help Baby Boris. Since we are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and a fully volunteer-run facility, 100% of your donation will go toward building his new enclosures.
As the saying goes, "It takes a village to raise a child," and it takes The Primate Sanctuary and you to help raise Baby Boris.
Please remember, monkeys are not pets and should never be separated from their mothers. I will be sharing photos and videos of Baby Boris’ progress over the upcoming months, Here, gofundme, Facebook The Primate Sanctuary, FB Carmen Presti and tic toc the primate sanctuary If you have any questions, comments, suggestions, or ideas, please feel free to contact me.
