Support Bowie the Kitten's Recovery Journey

On Friday, September 27th, Amanda found a kitten laying in the middle of a busy road. She rushed to the nearest emergency vet --a place 40 minutes from where she was and the veterinary staff there are working hard to help him. The first update came later in the day, they had done x-rays and not seen any broken bones but treated him for fleas and the anemia that comes with a bad infestation. As he spent most of the day sleeping, and he had come in bleeding from his nose and mouth, we knew we needed to wait to see if there were improvements in his condition, ie an overnight stay at the emergency vet. They told us one eye was dilated and unresponsive, and I told Amanda about David Bowie's permanently blown pupil from a fist fight-- and then laughed, we had a name for the kitten, "Bowie."

This morning he's been more active but walking in circles and pressing his head to the side of the cage. We know there's still brain swelling and they are working on getting that down currently, so we're just giving him time to heal, but this is requiring an even longer stay at a 24-hr care facility and we are needing money to give him his best chance. He's really cute, and he deserves to have a full life. Please consider donating for his medical care, and all costs will go toward his bills. If we are able to surpass the cost of his care the rest of the money will go toward future medical costs and depending -- we would like to put the rest to helping other pets in need.
