Update: May 2024 Brad Anderson’s Cancer Journey
Donation protected
May 2024 update from Brad, I want to thank everyone for your prayers and support. I never thought when I was diagnosed with a sarcoma… I’m guessing 4 or 5 years ago… I don’t keep up… what this journey would entail. Multiple surgeries (4), chemo and radiation many times over, too many positive biopsies to count, metastasized to that reached my lungs and seemingly everywhere in between (latest being my scalp) sepsis that almost killed me, kidney dialysis, I could go on.
Long story short, thanks to Dr Van Tine and Washington University and Siteman Cancer Center in St Louis, I’m ALMOST as healthy and feel as good as ever. But almost… because there is still some left to work on. I’m not sure for how long, as we will determine as we go along. However for now, it’s immunotherapy every 3 weeks.
So between the medical bills for treatment and scans and surgeries, which is mostly until I meet yearly deductible and travel from Memphis to St Louis, you all have made this journey less stressful.
Because of my cycling background, I call this my Tour de Cancer. I was hoping it was over last year, but I still have some stages left to race. Got my helmet, and focus on. Thank you for being in my support vehicle.
I love you all for the prayers, donations, and kindness. God bless.
I’ll keep you posted.
