Support Brad's Recovery and Family

Donation protected
On February 14th, 2025, my brother Brad experienced a right carotid artery dissection—a serious tear that resulted in two major strokes. He remained in the hospital and rehab until March 27th. Now, less than a month after returning home, he’s been hit with more devastating news: his position with FEMA is being terminated, leaving him without both a job and health insurance.

Brad, a former police officer and detective for the Alexandria PD, dedicated his life to serving the community and law enforcement for over 20 years. Now he and his family need our help.

With mounting medical bills totaling over $295,000.00 (we do not know what the total will be after any insurance coverage), a mortgage on a house they just moved into a little over a year ago, and of course the cost of taking care of his family, the loss of his job and medical insurance is absolutely devastating for him and his family.

Brad is still on the road to recovery from his strokes, attending speech and occupational therapy twice a week. He also faces additional outpatient physical therapy, which involves a one-hour drive each way—bringing more medical expenses along with it.

My brother has never been one to ask for help. He’s always been the strong one, the brave one—the person you could count on to have your back. Now, it’s his family asking for help on his behalf.

We’re asking you to please take a moment to search your heart and consider donating to help my brother Brad and his family during this incredibly difficult time.

Between overwhelming medical bills, the sudden loss of his job and insurance, and the ongoing cost of therapy and care, and monthly expenses, the financial burden is heavy. Every donation—no matter the size—will make a meaningful difference as he works toward recovery and stability.

Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support.

“There'll be another in the fire
Standing next to me
There'll be another in the waters
Holding back the seas
And should I ever need reminding
How good You've been to me
I'll count the joy come every battle
'Cause I know that's where You'll be”
