Brandon was born with a congenital defect in his heart that resulted in open heart surgery as an infant. Brandon has remained healthy until recently. He has just undergone open heart surgery again to replace and relocate a valve in his heart. Due to Brandon's unique cardiac anatomy, his surgery was extremely difficult and rare. Just over 200 procedures like this have been performed...EVER. While the valve placement was successful, Brandon suffered a major heart attack following the surgery. Fortunately, due to the unique anatomy of his heart, prognosis is relatively positive. He will be discharged and coming home soon. His wife Lauren has remained by his side but the recovery is the toughest part. He will have many appointments that require travel all while recuperating. Brandon will be out of work for around 6 months. Financial burdens should be the last thing on this family's mind. As a paramedic, Brandon has always cared for others and has went above and beyond for anyone needing help. Its our turn now. Let's take care of him and his family.
