Support Brandon's Journey Through Heart Surgery

To know Brandon is to love him! Brandon has been a nurse for 10 years now. He has worked with many of us on med surg, step down ICU, & now ICU. He is extremely loved & known by so many. If you know Brandon, you know he is one of the kindest & easy going people you would meet. He would help any one of us who needed it & has been through more than some people could bear to handle. He is also extremely active & has even gotten into enjoying running. A few weeks ago, Brandon started experiencing palpitations & an irregular heart rhythm. After an ER trip, he was referred to a cardiologist. Following a TEE, it has now been confirmed that Brandon needs an aortic valve replacement, as well as possible correction of part of his aorta that has dilated as well. For those that maybe aren’t familiar, this is an extremely tough procedure as it is open heart surgery. Many of us can’t even begin to imagine the burden that this has caused, not just physically but mentally. Brandon has also had to take time off for his family & other personal reasons. As you can imagine, working full time is not ideal when you are overwhelmed with things at home, & this can very easily drain any PTO or extended sick he may have had. We are starting this fundraiser to try to take some financial burden off Brandon & his family, as he will be out of work for even more unforeseen time. He is truly the one to keep us all laughing & in good spirits, so if you feel lead to help, please know we all appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts.
