Support Brandy's Effort to Save Family Home
Donation protected
My name's Brandy and I bought my grandma's home to save it from being taken by the state. She had lived on the property for 50 years and desperately wanted it to stay in the family. She was on state insurance and had to go into a nursing home. She passed away last August and was like a mother to me. In order to avoid the state selling it off, I went into debt to buy it from the state. She had been hoarding and the entire house was full of stuff. I wanted to start cleaning it and hopefully remodel it to live there one day.
At the time it was fine because I had a really great job in management in the RV industry. However, several months later, the RV industry took a turn for the worse and I was laid off. I’m still looking for employment but struggling to find one where I can afford childcare. My amazing fiance is working overtime to keep us afloat. I’ve been cleaning, and sorting through stuff to donate and stuff to throw away, and posting it on social media to help with bills.
I’m at the point where I have a whole room of trash bags in the house that needs to be tossed in a dumpster. However, renting a dumpster ranges anywhere from $600-$1200. I currently cannot afford this. Donations will go towards getting a dumpster, and helping with cleaning expenses. Anything extra will go towards remodel and bills. Times are tough for everyone so if you can’t donate that’s fine, but if you can and would like to help me save my grandmother's home, I would be forever grateful.
