Support Brayden's Fight Against Rare Condition

I am raising funds for my stepson who has been through countless hospital stays since May 2024. He was hospitalized for viral and bacterial meningitis. He came home still continuing to get excruciating headaches and was taken to CHOP where multiple imaging of his brain showed 2 lesions in the back of his skull, a CSF leak, and an arachnoid cyst. His mother was told by numerous neurosurgeons and neurologists that this is extremely rare and they truly don't have answers as to why this condition occurred. Watching him suffer daily for up to 7 hours with these headaches caused her to drive him to John Hopkins where she was given help and then back to CHOP where he received more imaging. Now he has intracranial hypertension, which means he doesn't have enough fluid in his head and it is causing his brain to sag, which could potentially result in him being in a coma. Brayden's mother was told that she needed to seek a second opinion, but waiting lists are up to a year long. She was given 3 facilities with neurosurgeons with the resources to potentially be able to help. She was told the only way to push the issue and not have to wait because his headaches and symptoms of this condition are worsening is to just show up at the facilities at the emergency room. Brayden's mother is now trying to get Brayden to Duke University Hospital in North Carolina. This has been extremely hard on everyone, emotionally draining and financially straining.
