Support Breanna’s Independence

Please support Breanna and help us raise the final $10,000 to purchase her new motorised standing wheelchair.

Breanna has a high level spinal cord injury from birth which means she has limited movement from the neck down.  Most day-to-day tasks are a challenge and she relies on family, carers and friends to help.  She calls her wheelchair her legs as it gives her independence to lead as normal a teenage life as possible.

She has grown out of her current wheelchair which she has enjoyed for nearly 6 years.  The cost of the new chair is $36,000 and we’ve managed to obtain partial government funding but there is still a gap to pay.  Government funding doesn’t cover the cost of the standing feature on the wheelchair which Breanna needs in order to stretch the tendons and muscles in her legs, weight bear for bone growth and improve blood circulation as well as digestion.  

Our aim is to raise the funds by mid-September so we can place the order and Breanna can hopefully have her wheelchair before Christmas.

I really hope you can help our lovely teenage daughter who has a ‘can do’ attitude.  She gives everything a go and lives life to the full !!!
