Support Breathwork Training Program for BIPOC

Donation protected
In the fall of 2020, we embarked on the first ever virtual Breathwork Training and Mentorship Program for Black Healers. This program was built to address the need for a more ethical and culturally competent breathwork training that served and uplifted those from historically excluded and marginalized communities.

Almost a year and two cohorts later, with 42 gifted students who have successfully completed the program, we prepare for what will be our third cohort, now open to Black, Indigenous, and People of Color. We have accepted a group of brilliant individuals, ready to come together for three months this winter for what will surely be another unforgettable and transformational experience!

In an ongoing effort to decolonize our practices and truly make healing accessible and equitable, we’ve invested in mutual aid initiatives to fund scholarships to help ease the burden of cost investment for prospective students. For our next training, we have a record of 30 confirmed participants, with 60% of the group requesting either full or partial scholarship. After assessing the needs of the group and determining what was feasible on our end based on previous fundraising campaigns, each person requesting financial assistance was granted a partial scholarship, with a few individuals who received full scholarship.

The total amount in scholarships we’ve committed to in this round comes to $13,300. After tapping into our resources and networks, the amount remaining needed to fund these scholarships is $9,600. We aim to fulfill this goal by January 1st of next year, right as the next cohort begins, with additional funds raised going towards future trainings and workshops.

Once again, we are asking for your generosity in achieving this goal! We know well the positive shifts that can happen when we invest in community care and sustainable systems of support. This training program and all those involved continue to benefit and thrive because of our collective efforts in bringing this vision to life. Whether it’s a monetary contribution, sharing with your friends and family, or raising awareness on your social media channels, no gesture is too BIG! Please consider donating however you can, and know that your actions are deeply appreciated.
