Support Bree and Karin in views of Daunting Discourse

Dear Friends, Colleagues, and Fellow Humans,

Coming soon… I’m launching a national podcast called Daunting Discourse, and unlike the “volunteer” activism that I've committed myself to as a Republican, I’m adding extra professionalism. With this, I am seeking support to get it off the ground and scale it across the country!

This project is urgent, personal, and hopeful. It’s about open and respectful communication and is for everyone who wants a better way to talk — and listen — to each other. In our case, this means side by side. Note... check out the picture of my Trump truck in her drive! The house didn't burn down and my truck wasn't set on fire lol reasonable discourse IS possible!

Meet Your Hosts:

The show is co-hosted by two women — single moms, actually — living just a few miles apart in rural, peaceful, and stressed-out central Michigan.

Myself, Bree Moeggenberg, age 46: a fierce, take-no-shit, non-vaccinated Mama Bear, Republican community voice and business owner that cared for children for over 20 years. A voice that has organized and spoke at many conservative rallies and events, even speaking in the form of a book I’ve co-authored. My childrens’ book is to help parents empower their kids to know real gender and to say NO to ideology!

My co-host and neighbor, Karin Jenson, age 51: former investigative journalist, lawyer, AI exec, now a homesteader and founder of Two Rivers AI Consulting. She’s planted herself here in Isabella County, Mi after a very different lifestyle from New York, so you can imagine the differences between her and myself. While Karin and I don’t share worldviews, we do share a belief that conversation can move us forward.

As Co-Presidents of Daunting Discourse, we declare that the platform shall be used for effective communication amongst and between those with multiple perspectives. When it comes to disrespect or name-calling… don’t do it. Just don't. Do better. Be better. We are supporting the purpose of effective dialogue. We know people. We are people. We want real people and real respectful dialogue — the kind that feels impossible these days, but isn’t.

Why This, Why Now:

Without a doubt, over the last five years my once reserved self has become one of definite proclamation; good, bad or ugly. When Covid fell upon the world, it smashed full force into my life and business. Through a series of rapid events, I found myself deep in politics which ultimately was largely behind the recent closing of my daycare doors.

Growing up, I loathed politics, economics and history, and never in a million years did I imagine myself diving into it. Nor did I ever imagine (or even know what it was) to be a State Committee woman for the Michigan Republican Party or a Regional Director of Election Integrity for MI Team Trump.

Through a change in life course, from cleaning up dirty diapers to now cleaning up poopy policy, I truly believe my new goals and aspirations have been led; led by the Spirit of Christ.

It is simply divine intervention that I now have crossed paths with Karin, and although opposite on many levels, we share love of our world and we see the crisis it is in. Political division. Social distrust. Economic dislocation. It’s affecting families, schools, businesses, and neighborhoods.

This podcast is my way of getting off the sidelines.

What to Expect:

In Daunting Discourse, Karin and I will take on the toughest topics — gender ideology, education, tariffs, the welfare system, crime, immigration, guns, libraries, you name it, — from two opposing perspectives, side by side. We’ll look for common ground, then ask — how do we maneuver and find resolve to coincide with respect as community?

We’d love to try to build out:

A business plan, with a team that can deliver on it super fast. We're starting next week, the week of April 7.

A Mailbag segment for listener-submitted topics

Daunting Discourse Facebook groups in every zip code to help neighbors look after each other

A toolkit to help listeners use AI for good, right where they live.

The future is local. And our first studio? Right here in Michigan, at CMURC .

How You Can Help

Karin and I are brave to do this. So are you — for reading, for believing, for donating. Every dollar helps us launch, staff, and scale this mission.

Let’s bring this conversation to every town in America. Let’s model a better way to disagree. Let’s build something that feels like home again.

God Bless,

Bree
