Support Brenda and Faith's Medical Journey

Hi, my name is Brenda, and as many of you know, I have my daughter Faith who was born with spina bifida, along with hydrocephalus. Things haven’t been so easy the past 2 years. She underwent 3 surgeries, and just this past Tuesday, we were back admitted at Valley Children's Hospital in Madera. She woke up during her catheter urinating blood, so I had to take her in, and once we were there, they decided to fully admit her due to her kidneys being swollen from pressure. Her spina bifida has also caused her to have a neurogenic bladder, and she takes medication on a daily basis.

This time around with this hospital stay, we were informed that her creatinine levels were extremely high with her levels being high she’s at risk now of kidney failure, and an abscess was also discovered on her right kidney. With that being said, they want to have her referred out to either San Francisco or San Jose to see a urologist. That puts myself out of work for who knows how long. I’ve already missed work all these days and can’t use sick pay since our sick pay only applies to myself if I’m sick. I don’t get any government assistance from any program; my household only depends on my work. I’m not one to ask for help, but today I’m here with a humble heart asking for anyone who can help me and my kids out.
