Update from the family:

On August 22 Brent was in a terrible horse accident. The horse he was riding ran sideways and they both ended up falling to the ground and as a result Brent hit his head on the ground and was rolled over by the horse, as a result his body went into coma. He had bleeding and swelling in many places of his brain and fluid and contusions on his lungs. His lungs were intact and never collapsed however the fluid made it difficult for him to breathe on his own. He was placed on a ventilator and had drain tubes placed in his chest. Brent’s body showed slow improvements and we continued to have hope and prayed that he would recover. After he was stable they were finally able to get the MRI of his brain done. The neurosurgeons and neurologists and trauma doctors all told us Brent’s brain injuries were worse than we thought, he had severe injuries to his brain stem and in the center of his brain, he is not brain dead but he would never wake up. It’s with so much pain and heartache that we have to inform everyone that Brent has gone to the place he worshiped, to be with the Lord. Brent requested to be an organ donor so while we did not get our miracle other families can have theirs.
