Right now, Bret is fighting a difficult battle against severe pneumonia, sepsis, and infective endocarditis at Medical City McKinney. The situation is incredibly tough, especially with bacteria growing on his heart valve, making his recovery even more strenuous. As I am disabled and unable to work, the responsibility of supporting our family falls heavily on Bret's shoulders. In the coming months, Bret will need all the prayers and support he can get as he focuses on his recovery and eventual return to work. The treatment plan involves 6-12 weeks of IV antibiotic infusions, along with additional antibiotics to combat the bacteria in his bloodstream.
