Support Brett and Her Kids After Tragic Loss

We are a group of friends reaching out to rally support for Brett and her children, Levi (9), Knox (8), and Sage (4), following the sudden and unexpected passing of her husband and their dad, Scott Hammerl. This devastating loss has left the family in deep grief and facing significant financial struggles.

Earlier this year, Scott lost his job, and despite his best efforts, he had not been able to secure stable employment before his passing. The family did not have life insurance and Brett, who has spent the past decade focused on raising their children, had only recently returned to school to prepare for re-entering the workforce.

We, as Brett’s friends, know the challenges she now faces as she steps into the role of a single parent while managing household responsibilities and coping with unimaginable grief. We are asking for your support during this incredibly difficult time to help ease the financial burden she will face in the coming months as she works to rebuild and move forward.

The funds raised will go directly toward:

Immediate living expenses (mortgage, utilities, groceries)

Childcare and educational needs for Levi, Knox, and Sage

Support for Brett as she completes her education and rebuilds a stable future for her family

Burial expenses not covered by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs
