Support Brian Gottschall and his family
Brian has been enduring a lengthy fight against bile duct cancer (cholangiocarcinoma) since 2018. His battle against this horrible disease has included surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation, and an entire upset of routine life. While Brian and his family have a very positive attitude, the treatments, doctors’ visits, and unknown have had a huge impact on him and his family during an already unsettling time.
Brian grew up in Bucks County, PA. He lives in Warminster with his loving wife Becky and their three kids: Brandon, Bill, and Bridget. Bridget, their youngest, just graduated from high school. Brian is a wonderful husband and father, who lives for his family. Brian has been an electrician with IBEW local #98 for 31 years, and an active volunteer fire fighter with the Hartsville Fire Department for 32 years. He has always worked hard to support his family and his community, and now it is our turn to support him.
Brian began his fight against cancer in 2010 with prostate cancer. With surgery and treatment, he won the fight and thankfully stayed in remission for many years. In September 2018 Brian was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma, a very rare and deadly cancer. Brian has undergone several surgeries, biopsies, liver resection, and months of chemotherapy, but unfortunately the cancer has spread to his abdomen and spine and requires further treatment.
While many of the medical costs are covered by insurance, there are a lot of out-of-pocket medical expenses associated with his ongoing treatment, as many Americans have experienced. Because of his physical condition, Brian can no longer work, creating a loss of income and further fueling this issue. This financial burden affects not only him, but also his family during these difficult times. We, his friends and family, would like to help alleviate at least one of the major stresses on Brian and his family.
Please help us share Brian’s story and raise money to support him and offset the financial impact of this dreadful disease. Most importantly, remember Brian and his family in your prayers! Thank you in advance for your support.
