Support Brian's Medical Expenses

Hey everyone!

This is Brian, a first-generation college graduate with one of the hardest majors out there. His passion for numbers is almost as big as his passion for the loved ones around him. He has a hard exterior but once you talk to him, you can see what a big softie he really is.  Brian has worked hard his entire life, uprising from one of the toughest neighborhoods, putting his education first, and always making sure that his family is taken care of. 

He has a condition called keratoconus and from my understanding of it, it's when his cornea thins and bulges outward into a cone shape which causes very blurry vision, to the point where he can’t see and has high light sensitivity, so looking at anything like the sun, phone, or computer is really really hard for him. He needs to get a cross-linking procedure...if it gets worse, then he would need a cornea transplant. On top of what he has, he also has an autoimmune disorder called Sjogren’s syndrome. This is when the body's immune system attacks its own healthy cells that produce saliva and tears. This disorder has been affecting his eye greatly and his breathing.

He will be getting treatment for both these issues. His family has worked hard to find the right doctor and the right treatment for him in regards to the autoimmune disorder. As for his eyes, his family has also found a doctor that is advanced enough to do a surgery that is noninvasive and can do both eye surgeries at the same time in early March.

Both his parents are immigrants and with the way health care is set up in America not everything is covered. Please help, share and support. Anything you put in helps. Thank you!
