Losing someone is devastating, but add to that the life lost is a child that you birthed. That’s a level of grief most of us don’t want to know. After all, gray hair is supposed to go before black hair. Right?

For those of you who knew my brother Jesse, you knew he was a charismatic, fun-loving, compassionate, tender-hearted, respectful, and thoughtful young man. Jesse served others and brought enlightenment into every environment. On September 15, 2023, our family had the most excruciating blow. We lost our heartbeat! We found out Jesse was gone forever from this earthly world.

Unfortunately, my mom doesn’t have the ability to take time off. There is no Family Leave Act for her. She is new to the entrepreneur world and she runs her own business. In the weeks that she has had to take time off and care of things regarding my brother’s death, she has made limited income.

My mom has happily ministered the gospel, educated all over Michigan, led people to better destinies in life, mentored aspiring leaders, and spoken inspiration to thousands of people around the country for the past thirty years. She has never told people no. Her personality is infectious and her heart is full of compassion. She has been a champion for so many causes. People have asked her to pay their car note, she did it! Others have asked for help with mortgages, rent, tuition, food, and phone bills, and help through hardships. Again, she was right there without reservation. She loves God’s people and helping all that are in need. Now is her time of need both financially and emotionally, will you help?

My siblings and I are asking anyone who is able to donate to help her in this time of grief. She is fighting for comfort. She has to make it day to day but also take care of getting an independent investigation because currently, our family is not getting answers regarding my brother’s untimely death.

On the day my brother’s lifeless body was found, my mom was out serving in the community. She was going door to door to businesses passing out flyers and beating the pavement all alone. She was helping a family in another state (that she did not even personally know) try to find their missing loved one in Detroit, Michigan because my mom lives 15 minutes from where the young lady went missing. Without hesitation she said I’ll help - she went into action. She didn’t even know at that time her son’s 26-year-old life was tragically taken.

If you know Brigitte Brown Jackson, you know that she has a heart of gold. Please take action, like my mom has done; every contribution you make is valued and appreciated no matter how small or big. Every act of kindness is helpful.

Most of all keep us in your thoughts and prayers. This has been a hard ordeal but we know God is a keeper and will continue to oversee us during our time of grief and sorrow.

Thank you in advance for your support.
