Support Britan's Surgery for a Healthier Future

Hello, Thomas here. I'm here to try my shot at funding Britan's unexpected high vet cost that came up during a routine vaccine update and monthly preventives trip to the vet. that i personally cannot afford the quoted $1500 for tumor removal

The vet noticed a couple of pea-sized tumors on Britan's lower left side (mammary gland tumors) and quoted $1,400-$1,600. They said it would be ideal to remove them due to the possibility of them spreading to her lungs. I'd like to have this operation done because other than these few little bumps, she's doing great and helps me go places that I'd not be motivated enough to do without Britan. I never leave her home; she goes everywhere with me. Since I adopted her in May of 2022, she is currently 10 years old and I'd like to see her make it to at least 12, even if that's wishful thinking at the minimum i'd like to be proactive on an issue that im aware of. I hope this can help Britan make it there or just be more comfortable in the meantime. Britan is a very important service and best friend to me, she helps negate the effects of my depression and anxiety BIGGLY. She would be very hard (impossible) for me to replace so I'd like to make every effort I can to keep her around and healthy during her time.

Britan's lore below! Only what I know of that is.

Britan's backstory from the shelter when we adopted her in 2022: The shelter told us Britan is a local breeder/puppy mill surrender to the shelter due to the breeder getting a new female dog and they didn't get along. (I'm guessing that's how her ears got torn) Poor girl :(

Britan was fixed around 7 years old by the shelter. I learned from the vet during that quote when they're spayed later in life like that, they're more prone to these mammary gland tumors.

She ended up being in this shelter for nearly whole year before someone adopted her. But then returned her within a few days because that person's dogs didn't get along with her. Then I gladly came along and adopted her as I had my eye on her on Petfinder for a month, checking it every day, noticing that time frame where she wasn't there on the site, then there again a few days after again! So I took the 4-hour drive to get her when I saw her pop back up! Though she ended up having ringworm when we got her home, that was also a disaster. I'll leave out the fine details of that as it was nightmare material! I, then with the help of vets again, nurtured her up from 58lbs to 70, and now her healthy weight of 68lbs (I'm very proud).

Here is one of my best photos of her I got just this week on a lovely walk and her nice shiny coat from a recent bath!
