Support Brittany & Julian: Dr. Jones' Surgery

I'm writing on behalf of the Andrade-De La Garza's. We have had the privilege of being Dr. Jones' auntie and grandma for almost 10 years. From the early beginnings of his apartment life in Downey to his teenage and young adult life in the hills of El Sereno, being a vago with his bestie, Lucy (RIP), and now in his retirement years, you can find him rolling down the streets of downtown L.A.

On December 6, Dr. Jones was taken to the vet for what seemed a sprain or broken bone in his front leg. After the vet visit, Brittany and Julian (the rents) found out that he broke his leg because he has an aggressive tumor in the bone. Though devastated, they (we) were very hopeful.

The last 5 weeks, Dr. Jones has been in a cast and re-casted 3× (he loves to jump off the bed a lot). This Friday, January 17, he has an appointment to remove his broken leg. They want the last part of his life, however long or short, to be filled with the ability to move without having his tacón (his cast). This is going to be costly...

...this is where you come in. If you can spare anything, it would be very helpful to cover the surgery and any aftercare needs. If you cannot help monetarily at the moment, send all the prayers and good energy his way. He will happily receive them.

Escribo en nombre de los Andrade-De La Garza. Hemos tenido el privilegio de ser la tía y abuela del Dr. Jones durante casi 10 años. Desde los inicios de su vida en un apartamento en Downey hasta su adolescencia y juventud en las colinas de El Sereno, cuando era vago con su mejor amiga, Lucy (QEPD), y ahora en sus años de jubilación, puedes encontrarlo rodando por las calles del centro de Los Ángeles.

El 6 de diciembre, llevaron al Dr. Jones al veterinario por lo que parecía un esguince o una fractura de hueso en su pata delantera. Después de la visita al veterinario, Brittany y Julian (los padres) descubrieron que se había roto la pata porque tiene un tumor agresivo en el hueso. Aunque estaban devastados, ellos (nosotros) teníamos muchas esperanzas.

Las últimas 5 semanas, el Dr. Jones ha estado enyesado y le han vuelto a poner yeso 3 veces (le encanta saltar mucho de la cama). Este viernes 17 de enero tiene una cita para quitarle la pierna rota. Quieren que la última parte de su vida, sea larga o corta, la llene de la capacidad de moverse sin tener el tacón (el yeso). Esto va a ser costoso...
