Support Brittany Sanchez and Santiago Family

Hi, my name is Gabriella and I am raising funds to help one of my closest friends during a difficult period of their life. I have known Brittany for almost 15 years, and she is practically family. Brittany made the difficult decision uproot her life in California and move to Seattle, WA about one year ago in hopes of finding better work with more comprehensive health care than what was available to her at the time. She had been experiencing an array of symptoms for years that doctors had essentially ignored for years. Since she had moved to Seattle, she immediately began working with a primary care physician who took her symptoms seriously and referred her specialists who were able to provide her with multiple serious diagnoses. In May, she was diagnosed with an extremely rare hiatal hernia that required emergency surgery. She was admitted for surgery in late July and the recovery process was extremely difficult on both her physical and emotional health. Even after insurance coverage, she is still left with nearly $3,000 worth of medical bills remaining.

She had been continuing to work with her PCP and specialists on diagnosing other medical conditions when suddenly her mother passed away 1 week ago. Brittany had to return home to California immediately to assist her family during this heartbreaking time. Her mother Tamara is survived by her mother, brother, sister, her 4 children, and 1 grandchild.

Brittany is planning to move back home to California to help raise her younger family members, however her family is struggling to cover the costs of unexpectedly losing a family member while processing their grief.

Our goal is to raise enough money to pay off Brittany's medical debts, pay for her mother's memorial, and pay the fees associated with moving out of state.
