Support Our Brother Ron Blakey!

Hi, my name is Marley Klus, and I am the Chairperson of both Casino Ajax and Pickering Casino Resort under Local 1090. As you may know, our workplace was on strike between July 23rd and August 5th. You may have also heard that our members set up a secondary picket line at Casino Woodbine during that time. During our strike action at Casino Woodbine, one of our members was the victim of a hit-and-run perpetrated by an angry casino customer who "refused" to participate in the line-up of cars to enter the casino. This customer decided they needed to gamble so urgently that they drove right through our Brother Ron Blakey, completely breaking Ron's leg.

Ron will be off work for months, requiring surgery and physiotherapy.

As a show of solidarity and support, we have created this GoFundMe to help Ron with any medical and living expenses while he is off work, unable to make an income.
