My coworker at Woodbury Pre-school Village, who has become one of my best friends, has experienced an unimaginable loss—her childhood home. Twenty-six years ago, Bryanda’s parents, Nicolasa and Carlos Ramirez, purchased this home in Altadena, a place that has been filled with love, memories, and family for over two decades. This loss is more than just a house—it’s the heart of a family’s story, and my heart aches for them during this devastating time. Not only has she been raised there but her siblings, nieces and nephews too. They lost all their clothes, memories, and sentiments.
