Support Buster's Journey to Comfort

Donation protected
This is my boy Buster. A bit of a backstory for him is that he was rescued by my grandfather about 5 years ago. When taking him to his first vet appointment, he had a nickname which was "Wobbles." Vets stated that he had a neurological disease, but no other tests were run. After my grandfather passed in February of 2021, my mom took ownership, and in Sept 2021, my mother passed, and I took him in, or rather, he chose me.

Two years later, I noticed his pupils being extremely large and took him in. They ran a test, and the pressure behind his eyes was high, so I took him to an expert. Tests were run, and he was diagnosed with Glaucoma. In order to control the pressures, he was put on four different medications (Latanoprost, Timolol, and Dorzolamide) every six hours.

On November 12th, he was seen for his check-up where they found an ulcer on his right eye, prescribed medications, and was due back in two weeks. On 11/20/2024, Buster's eye had ruptured in two different locations and was brought in the next day for emergency enucleation (removal of the eye).
Labs were ran on the removed eye and the diagnosis came back with this result: "The pathologist found that the changes in Busters right eye are consistent with primary lens luxation, with subsequent glaucoma and low grade inflammation. There is no clear reason for the cornealperforation, but blind and glaucomatous eyes are already abnormal and so can be prone totrauma/are less resilient. Primary lens luxation is an inherited condition, and the same changes are likely present in his left eye."

The next appointment was two weeks later to check on the healing of his ulcer, which resulted in not healing, so we did the Diamond Burr Debridement procedure in hopes to have the body focus on healing his ulcer.

January 2, 2025, was his check-up to see, which the size of the ulcer was reduced, but the pressure was not as well controlled. Which brings us to now. With all the efforts, his eye is dying. He no longer has vision, and his eye no longer serves a purpose. With all our best efforts, an enucleation is the best for him. I am trying to raise enough money to help with this before he has another rupture and causes him more pain. Also, with the hopes that he can get back more of his independence and comfort. No more drops. No more cone.

As you can imagine, visits, medications, and surgeries, the bills have added up. Anything would be appreciated. I love this little guy so much and I just want him to be comfortable <3

Thank you for taking the time to read his story and considering helping.
