Support Caine's Family in Cremating Butch, His Grandfather

My son Caine’s grandfather, Bernard “Butch” Yates, passed away this past July. It was Butch’s wish to be cremated, and my son and his aunt want to respect that wish, but they are struggling to make that happen. Butch was a Navy veteran, but Veteran’s Affairs will not pay for the cremation up front; they will only reimburse, a process that can take up to six months, and they don’t have the $2,000 to cover the cost. Caine and his aunt are understandably distraught that Butch still has not been put to rest, and while sympathetic, the funeral home can’t wait forever.

Please help my son and his aunt bury his grandfather. I set the fundraising goal for $2,500 so there would be a bit extra to cover any additional fees or unexpected costs.
