Rainbow Backpack Project - A Program Plan to raise $10,000.00 for the homeless and children in need.

We have a very large yet hidden homeless epidemic, many of which are LGBTQ+. Unbeknownst to the vast majority of the community there is a rather large tent city of our homeless residents concealed in the woods.

The Rainbow Backpack Project will supply backpacks filled with necessity supplies such as but not limited to nonperishable foods, toiletries warm clothing, stationary supplies and grade specific school supplies. At Calvert Rainbow Alliance, Inc., we believe every resident deserves to have these basic needs met. We will do everything in our power to ensure that we can do all we can to help these homeless residents and children in need. Our hope is that through our backpack project we can get the community involved by seeking donations of funds, goods and services. We will seek these donations from local residents and businesses and other suppliers and organizations nationwide & worldwide. Together with the community and the nation we can make a difference.

Through our nonprofit status we will seek donations from:

-Local churches

-Local businesses

-residents via fundraising events

-Local community organizations

-Local farmers

-Local restaurants

-Local governments
