Life can never prepare us for the unexpected loss of a loved one. We think we have so much time to spend with our families and friends but sometimes the unimaginable happens. We lost an amazing man today.

Calvin had been suffering from a massive hernia for quite some time. His partner Chrystal went through multiple insurance agencies to help cover the costs of the surgery.  She was denied multiple times therefore postponing his surgery. She fought to find an insurance company that would help and once she did the surgery was postponed again due to Covid-19. Calvin suffered in pain these last few months waiting for his procedure. He was out of work for months due to the excruciating pain. On June 19th he finally underwent a very intense and complicated surgery. A routine surgery turned into a twelve day hospitalization where he had to endure a second surgery. Calvin was not allowed any visitors due to Covid-19. On June 30th Calvin was discharged from the hospital and sent home to be with Chrystal and his children. Calvin woke at 3:30am Thursday morning July 2nd in excruciating pain. Chrystal called 911 but minutes later Calvin was gone and unable to be revived. 

Calvin was an amazing man, son, friend, life partner and father of four. He was one of a kind. He was a bright light in this dark world. He was so deeply loved.
