Support Cameran's Road to Recovery

As many in the community has learned, our son Cameran Pickett who attends CHS, was involved in a single vehicle accident Thursday on the way to work. When units arrived on scene, it was determined that Cameran needed to be med flighted to VCU.

Once Tim and I got to the scene, tests and scans had been completed. A very short time later, we learned that vertebrae C6 was fractured and immediate surgery would be needed.

Cameran went into surgery and vertebrae C6 had to be completely removed. A "cage" was inserted into the voided position and vertebrae C5-C7 was fused.

With this and the type of fracture, there is current paralysis of the limbs.

While we are praying hard for a recovery, we unfortunately do not know what path we are walking.

As you can imagine, this event has became a very serious financial strain on us. Between commuting back and forth in order to find balance with Gavin and Winston at home, meals, and items Cameran is in need of adds up very quickly.

This is going to be a very long road as we begin to navigate all obstacles and isn't going to be an easy one. I am not one to ask for help, but I can not express enough how much $1 means to us right now.

If you are able to help, any and all funds will be going towards commuting, meals, Camerans needs and medical fees that may needed to be provided upfront.
