Support Cameron's Fight for a New Kidney

As I write this, my heart is breaking...
Our son, Cameron has been battling a rare kidney disease since the 4th grade, and he is now 36 years old. He has been seen by various doctors, endured tests, procedures, & surgeries, always holding strong. He had a kidney transplant at the age of 13, and it failed.
Sadly, 11 1/2 years ago he was put on dialysis and has been suffering ever since. Any dreams he had of a normal life disappeared in this journey.
Over time, his body developed ascites, which is severe abdominal swelling, weighing anywhere from 20-50 pounds of fluid accumulating over a peroid of several weeks. He has to endure painful paracentesis procedures to remove the fluids, making life miserable. He was placed on the transplant list in Decemeber of 2023, giving him hope. On June 18th 2024, he received a call from the transplant team, stating there was a matching kidney. He was admitted that evening to the hospital and the surgery was to take place the next morning. The surgeon came into the room and examined Cameron, and stated, “the fluid would be no problem”. He explained how he would drain the fluid, and then surgically connect the kidney. At that point Cameron signed paperwork for the new kidney. As he was being taken to pre-op, another doctor from the team stopped the kidney transplant because he thought it was too much of a risk. A chance at a new life was ripped from him. They told him by voicemail, that he had been taken off the transplant list and sent a letter to confirm it. How is that for compassion?
Life has held nothing but a struggle on disability, not enough to meet his basic needs as family members have tried to help. He doesn’t know what a vacation is, because of the prison of dialysis. His 21 yr. old car is near ready "to bite the dust".
Cameron has lost so much in life, and as we know, time is precious. We truly don't know how much time he has left. Our goal is to love him, create good memories, and find another doctor and medical facility to help save his life.
As Cameron struggles to survive, we watch helplessly as he DECLINES physically & emotionally each day.
We will use the money to take him on a vacation that he hasn't had in years. Secondly, his car is not in good condition, so we need a used, newer and dependable car. He does have needs daily for his costs and there are medical bills, too. We are hoping to put him on a transplant list again and hopefully, more than one. So, if that happens, that means we need funds to fly him to a medical center to get the kidney. He struggles to pay his living costs monthly off of disability. As we get more information concerning his medical costs....we will share them. Thank You for all who have given and support us in prayer.
- Please..... would you find it in your heart to help Cameron financially? We thank you, and God bless you for your generous gift.
