Support Cami's Recovery from Dog Attack
Donation protected
hi friends and family,
this is not easy and out of character for me, but i'm reaching out to y'all because our family needs help. our almost four year old daughter, cami, was attacked by a large dog and admitted to the hospital on sunday, june 09. she has multiple stitches, and we’re blessed nothing is broken. it looks like she’s going to have a full recovery. there will be numerous medical bills, lost income, and all the miscellaneous expenses associated with an injured preschooler. cami’s our everything and we’re devastated, but we will do everything in our power for her to recover fully and be well.
i’ve known many of y’all way before i became a father. many of y’all know my drinking days ended once i became a father. cami is my world and i would doing anything for her. she’s the sweetest, kind hearted, and loving little girl. something horrific happened to my baby girl this past sunday. cami was at her babysitter’s house when their rottweiler attacked and bit her multiple times. the dog gnawed up the right side of cami’s body… her neck, calf and back.
this horrible incident happened around 5pm on sunday. when we received the phone call that cami was in the ER, we rushed over to memorial hospital immediately. they took x-rays of cami’s leg, back and neck to make sure no bones were broken. doctors were most concerned with the deep bite wound on her neck. the bite was so close to her jugular vein and carotid artery they recommended a CT scan. luckily, cami did not have any severe muscle and tissue damage to repair.
after memorial hospital, cami was transferred to the children's hospital of colorado, colorado springs. this is where cami was sedated, so the doctor could flush out and repair her wounds. she received 2 stitches by her calf and 5 stitches on her neck.
we finally left the children's hospital and went home around 4am. cami is home now recovering. it's heartbreaking watching her go through all this... the mental trauma, multiple wounds, medical procedures and recovery. cami is so tough and strong, and a true soldier.
thank you all for your time. if you can help by donating, please know we appreciate it with all our hearts. if you can not donate, please share this with friends and family. your effort means the world to us. many many thanks!
