Meet Camo – A Puppy Who Has Endured Unthinkable Abuse

Camo’s journey began in the most heartbreaking way. While one of our volunteers was walking a dog at the shelter, he noticed something moving in the bushes. Upon investigation, he discovered a tiny puppy who couldn’t walk. Despite his pain, Camo was still alert and alive, so the volunteer quickly scooped him up and rushed him to the vet.

What we learned at the vet was devastating. Camo has multiple fractures all over his body, including his chest, jaw, pelvis, and legs. These fractures are healing at different rates, which means he has been suffering from abuse for months. On top of this, he also has pneumonia. It’s clear that this sweet puppy has endured unimaginable pain, yet despite everything, he remains a loving and affectionate dog who craves human connection.

Camo needs immediate treatment, including expensive orthopedic surgery and ongoing medications, before he can heal and be adopted into a forever home. The costs for his medical care, including the surgery, have come as a huge surprise, and we’re asking for your help to give Camo the chance he so deeply deserves.
